Mornings set the tone for everything that comes after. We asked five members of the mismohola team to share the small rituals that ground their day — none of which require getting up at 5 a.m.

1. Light before screen

Before reaching for your phone, open the curtains and let real daylight hit your eyes for sixty seconds. It anchors your circadian rhythm and is the cheapest mood-booster on earth.

2. A full glass of water

Eight hours of sleep is also eight hours without a sip. Keep a glass bottle on your nightstand the night before — your kidneys will thank you, and so will your skin by week three.

3. Two minutes of movement

Not a workout. Two minutes of stretching, a slow walk around the kitchen, or whatever feels good. The point is to say hello to your body before the inbox does.

4. Make one thing nice

A pour-over coffee in your favourite mug. A piece of toast on the good plate. The smallest aesthetic gesture tells your brain that today is worth showing up for.

5. Three minutes of plan, three minutes of joy

Write down the three things that matter today — and the one tiny thing you’re looking forward to. A walk at lunch, a chapter of a book, an unhurried call with a friend.

That’s it. No 4 a.m. cold plunges. No 17-step skincare. Just five quiet anchors that make the rest of the day feel a little more like yours.
